About twice a year there is a club-wide J.O.C
Clipper Party. There is sometimes a live webcast to the JOC website. If you cannot make it to the the party, you can watch the haircuts while chatting with other J.O.C members from all over the world.
The parties started with a few guys getting together to trade haircuts. Now our really hard corps members travel to the parties from all over the country. The official parties are
now getting kind of wild, so we now require registration in advance and a modest cover charge.
SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE ATTENDING!!!
GETTING A HAIRCUT: Registering for a
J.O.C party does not guarantee you a haircut! The J.O.C is not Super Cuts! If you expect a haircut at a party we recommend that you arrange it in advance! Otherwise you can try to get there early, and find a guy that brought
his clipper that wants to cut your mop.
DON'T ASK: These days it's not a good idea to ask a JOCMASTER for a haircut at the party. A guy that asked FTJOC for a haircut at the LA party wound up tied to a stool with his mouth duct-taped and his head totally
buzzed. He was lucky he liked this, and probably fortunate FTJOC didn't have time to do it himself! Always plan ahead! And don't forget to bring some hair!
WEBCAST WILLIES: Most members feel
pretty comfortable with the rest of the club watching on the web. It's really very private since the webcast requires a J.O.C Major Membership passcode. While not everyone's haircut makes it into the webcast, if you are
camera shy we recommend that you attend a private party or watch on the web rather than feel uncomfortable at an official party. You are welcome to come just to watch. But we encourage those that do not want to participate
to watch the party on the web! |
